Karasu Port is leader import/export gateway through Black Sea by its wide hinterland, geographical location and multi-modal transportation options.

Through railway infrastructure, Karasu Port offers rapid, environment-friendly and cost-efficient transportation opportunities.

Karasu Port’s current motorway connection is provided by double road. Distance between Karasu Port and D-100 Motorway is 55 kms; Karasu Port and TEM (Trans North European Motorway) is 60 kms. Black Sea Coastal Road (850 meters to Karasu Port) and Northern Marmara Motorway (35 kms to Karasu Port) are under construction. Thanks to inland connection opportunities, transportation between factories and KarasuPort provided on bypassing city centers.

Hinterland Connections

Hinterland connections include Sakarya, Kocaeli, İstanbul, Düzce, Bolu, Zonguldak cities. Thanks to its strategic location, cities like Bursa, Kütahya, Bilecik, Eskişehir, Ankara, Konya, Afyonkarahisar, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Karabük and Bartın are in the Karasu Port’s hinterland too. The hinterland also reaches to Aegean and Mediterranean regions for Vegetable-Fruit exports.

Marine Services

Pilotage, towage and mooring services are provided 7/24 to all vessels.

General / Bulk Cargo Services

General Cargo and Dry Bulk Cargo loading/discharging, storage and terminal services are provided non-stop in 3 shifts, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in warehouses and open storage areas.

All kind of loading/discharging, storage and terminal services are provided to Dry Bulk Cargoes like pulses, cereals, clinker, cement, coal, petrocoke, fertilizer, gypsum, salt, sand, chrome etc.

Big Bagged, Bale, Palletized, Slinged, Caged, Bagged, Cased, Barreled cargoes are among the General Cargoes that handled in Karasu Port. Additionally, sheets and rolled steels, cased cargoes, bundles or rubble marbles, block metals, profile pipes, cased glass products, iron bars, wire rod, iron products, paper bobbins, rolled cargoes, wrapped/bale cargoes, boxed cargoes and timber can be loaded and discharged in Karasu Port.

Storage Services

We provide storage services for bulk cargo, general cargo, project cargo and containers in our port area which has the status of “Customs Bonded Area”.

Sheltered Warehouses

All kinds of bulk cargo, general cargo and project cargoes can be stored in our 6.500 m2 sheltered warehouses with 6 units of 1.000 m2 each and 1 unit of 500 m2.
In line with our investment projects in 2018, additional 10 units of 1000 m2 warehouses and a total of minimum of 30.000 tons of steel silos will be built.

Open Storage Areas

In our open storage areas that have concreted field; bulk cargo, general cargo, project cargoes can be stored.

Technical Specifications

As a result of being “Multi-Purpose” port where services are provided to all types of cargoes including Containers, General Cargoes, Project Cargoes, Ro-Ro, Dry Bulk, Passenger Services; KarasuPort has the capacity to provide all services in the same port area.
